As we enter the Thanksgiving season, I am reminded of the incredible generosity and kindness that define our community. On behalf of everyone at St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County (SVdP), I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you—our donors, St. Vinnie’s shoppers, and community partners. Your unwavering support fuels our mission and empowers us to make a difference in the lives of those most in need.

Thanksgiving is more than a day; it’s a reminder of the power of gratitude and giving. Each donation you make, each purchase in our stores, and every partnership you build strengthens the-

foundation of our work. Because of you, we continue to offer vital services like affordable housing and emergency support, as well as recycling programs that help people and care for our environment.

As we reflect on the past year, we also look forward with hope and determination. The upcoming Giving Tuesday and end-of-year giving season are pivotal times for our organization. Your support during this period will help us achieve several key goals in 2025.

RISE IN 2025 Key Goals

  • Reinvesting in Affordable Housing: Safe, stable housing is fundamental to the well-being of individuals and families. We aim to reinvest in our aging housing properties to ensure stability and quality of life for our residents for years to come.
  • Expanding Mattress Recycling in Oregon: Our recycling efforts reduce landfill waste and provide jobs in our community. By growing our capacity for mattress recycling, we can increase our environmental impact and create more employment opportunities here in Oregon.
  • Reviving First Place Kids: We are preparing to break ground on a brand-new playground at First Place Family Center, which will help us cross the finish line for certified childcare at the site.

These goals are ambitious, but with your continued support, we know they are achievable. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate future.

Thank you for being part of the St. Vincent de Paul family. Your generosity doesn’t just change lives—it transforms our community.

With deep gratitude and hope,
Bethany Cartledge
