We also accept:

  • Single shoes (we send these to amputees for prosthetics use)
  • Aluminum cans (used to support homeless services)
  • Fabric scraps, worn/hole-y clothing, worn blankets, old pillows

The following items may not be in resalable condition, but we can still recycle them FREE of charge:

  • Appliances
  • Books & magazines
  • Cars and trucks (running or not)
  • Clothing, textiles, and shoes (must be clean and dry to recycle)
  • Computers and consumer electronics
  • Styrofoam from individuals (less than a supersack is free, otherwise $10 per supersack)

The following items are charged a small recycling fee:

  • Mattresses ($10 per piece)
  • Styrofoam from businesses ($10 per supersack)

We cannot accept the following items:

  • No household chemicals of any kind
  • No fluorescent bulbs or ballasts
  • No fire extinguishers
  • No propane tanks
  • No used or burnt candles
  • No used infant furniture or car seats
  • No used buildings materials or plumbing fixtures

What Can I Donate?

Your donations are the lifeblood of our business. Thank you in advance for your support.  

Important:
Donations will be accepted at the discretion of staff at the donation center. We have to pay to dispose of items that cannot be reused or recycled, which takes away from our charitable mission.

Reusable items accepted at all Drive-through donation centers and at our donation trailer at 1995 Amazon Pkwy, Eugene:

  • Appliances (refrigerator, freezer, range, washer, dryer. No dishwashers.)
  • Bedding and linens
  • Books/magazines
  • Cars, trucks, RV's and boats (call 541-607-4541)
  • CDs/DVDs/VHS tapes and working VCR's
  • Clothing, shoes, belts, purses, hats, jewelry
  • Computers, consumer electronics (more info)
  • Craft, art supplies, pictures and picture frames
  • Dishes/glasses/cutlery, household appliances and eletctronics
  • Holiday decorations; Halloween costumes
  • Hospital-style beds that have all components including mattress
  • Household and office furniture**
  • Knick-knacks, baskets, and other decorative items
  • Mattresses, boxsprings, and futon mattresses in good resellable condition (no rips, tears, stains or odors). Fees apply.
  • Most metal equipment (cans, bikes, lawn and garden items, barbecues; NO propane tanks or fire extinguishers)
  • Pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment
  • Sports equipment
  • Textiles, bedding, blankets, linens
  • Toys

Specific items for recycling are accepted only at store drive-through donation centers during business hours

  • Appliances for recycling (only accepted at Seneca, Division, and Thurston)
  • Some metal items for recycling (only accepted at Seneca, Division and Thurston)
  • TV's and CRT monitors for recycling (accepted at all donation centers)

The following items have a small recycling fee, and must be dropped off during business hours (violators who dump these items after hours will be prosecuted)

  • Mattresses, box springs and futon mattresses have a $10 per piece fee and are accepted only at St. Vinnie's drive-through donation centers 
  • Styrofoam Individuals can recycle less than a supersack worth of styrofoam free of charge. For amounts larger than a supersack (roughly 4' x 4' x 4'  or 64 cu ft) there is a $10 recycling feeBusinesses must set up a recycling account before dropping off styrofoam.
