What Can I Donate?


Donation Centers Update for 5/27/2020:

  • NO large items are accepted at this time, including mattresses.
  • We are accepting all other types of donations, including appliances.
  • Items MUST BE BAGGED OR BOXED, and donation attendants are unable to help with unloading any items from vehicles. This is both for your safety, and our staff's safety.
  • Donation pick-ups are suspended until further notice.

  • Donations will be accepted at the discretion of staff at the donation center. Please note: SVdP pays to dispose of items that cannot be reused or recycled, which takes away from our charitable mission. Thank you for your support!



    Reusable items accepted:
    • Bedding and linens
    • Books/magazines
    • Cars, trucks, RV's and boats (call 541-607-4541)
    • CDs/DVDs/VHS tapes and working VCR's
    • Clothing, shoes, belts, purses, hats, jewelry
    • Computers, consumer electronics (more info)
    • Craft, art supplies, pictures and picture frames
    • Dishes/glasses/cutlery, household appliances and electronics
    • Holiday decorations; Halloween costumes
    • Hospital-style beds that have all components including mattress
    • Household and office furniture**
    • Knick-knacks, baskets, and other decorative items
    Items we accept for recycling:
    • Appliances (refrigerator, freezer, range, washer, dryer. No dishwashers)
    • Mattresses, box springs, and futon mattresses ($12 per piece fee)
    • Cars, trucks, RV's or campers (accepted at our Car Lot location)
    • Clean fabric scraps, clothing and textiles
    • Books, magazines
    • Computers and consumer electronics
    • Sytrofoam**

    Items we DO NOT accept:
    • Household chemicals of any kind
    • Fluorescent bulbs or ballasts
    • Propane tanks or fire extinguishers
    • Used or burnt candles
    • Infant furniture, car seats, strollers, etc.
    • Used builiding materials or plumbing fixtures
