We shred and compress Styrofoam (#6 Expanded Polystyrene) into logs, making it more cost-effective to transport to recyclers. Styrofoam peanuts are used at Aurora Glass or resold in our thrift stores.
How to Recycle Styrofoam
Households in Eugene and Springfield can recycle up to "a grocery cart full" of Styrofoam at no charge.
What We Accept: white block styrofoam with the #6 recycling symbol or packing peanuts. These should be bagged or boxed separately.
NO: food containers/cups, etc.
