Scenes from SVdP’s “An Evening to Envision” in 2024; the dinner gala returns Nov. 7, 2025, with auction, music and more.

St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County’s third-annual “An Evening to Envision” gala starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Venue 252 in Eugene (doors open at 5:30 p.m.). Proceeds from the fundraiser will support and enhance SVdP’s ability to provide pathways to stability and affordable housing for thousands of our vulnerable neighbors every year.

Guests will enjoy a meaningful and memorable night featuring dinner and open-bar cocktail hour, presentations, live and silent auctions featuring many special items and packages, a raffle, and other fun activities — with live music by local favorites Shelley James & Agents of Unity. Brandon Kamerman, evening anchor at KVAL 13 News, returns as master of ceremonies.

Tickets are $150 each, or $1,200 for a table sponsorship (eight seats). Both options are available for reservation now through SVdP’s secure online form, so please sign up while spaces remain!

Food/drink, auction & more

Kicking things off at An Evening to Envision will be an open-bar cocktail hour generously hosted by Justin Schmick and Kristena Cox. Other food-and-drink sponsors include King Estate, providing wines for the event, and Nothing Bundt Cakes, providing dessert.

For dinner, guests can choose from three delectable options to be plated and served by Venue 252. Entrée choices include Grilled Columbia River Steelhead; Roasted Natural Chicken w/Autumn Vegetables; or a seasonal vegetarian option (choices can be made when filling out the online form linked above).

Guests will also be encouraged to join the fundraising fun with both silent and live auctions for some fabulous packages. Live-auction highlights will include a Holland America cruise, resort getaways, and some incredible group culinary, winetasting, and entertainment experiences.

A few speakers and short video presentations will round out the evening’s program, with a focus on SVdP’s considerable positive impacts on local community members who were helped, housed, hired, and otherwise supported by the agency on their path to stability. Along with those inspiring stories, SVdP Executive Director Bethany Cartledge will share her hopeful visions and priorities for the year ahead.

More about SVdP’s impact

Lane County’s largest human-services nonprofit, SVdP is an essential local resource for community good. We quickly pivot to serve emerging needs and step up to fill local service gaps, just as we step in to weave a social safety net for individuals and families who lack other support systems.

While SVdP’s retail-thrift and recycling operations generate a portion of the revenue needed to support the organization’s array of social-services programs, we also rely in large part on private donations and grants to sustain many critical services in the community.

So, your support at “An Evening to Envision” will allow us to continue providing vulnerable neighbors with pathways to lasting stability during these increasingly uncertain times. Via self-sufficiency programs, emergency and shelter assistance, second-chance employment, and more, we’ll light the path from poverty and homelessness to safe, supported, affordable housing — and to the brighter future that’s possible when you have a place to call home.

Thank you for your continued support, and please join us Nov. 7! And for additional event announcements ahead of the big evening, be sure to follow SVdP on Facebook (@svdplanecounty).
