Covid-19 Update: All non-crucial events are on hold until we can be sure to execute them safely. Official cancellations and updates will be provided with as much notice as possible.

Do we have events! St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County invites your involvement, whether it’s in the logistics, as sponsors or in-kind donors, participants, or our favorite, the cleanup and associated revelry. Here is a preliminary outline of the major special events for 2020:

Month Event Beneficiary
June 27, 2020 Paella Fundraiser A trip to a country estate for an evening of games, wine, paella crafted on-site, and fundraising for First Place Family Center, the Night Shelter Annex, and First Place Kids Early Childhood Program.
July 18, 2020 Volunteer Appreciation A party in the park to honor our hardworking volunteers.
Starting August 1 Backpacks for Back-to-School Gathering new backpacks and school supplies, and donations toward the same, to be given to all families who ask. Event runs all month and culminates in distribution day and many smiles.
August 27, 2020 (tentative) Bill Barr Memorial Golf Classic Benefitting tenant households in St. Vincent de Paul affordable housing, with special focus on children’s activities. Read about the 2019 event.
October-December Holiday Joy Assisting families in SVdP housing that request it, by matching them with sponsoring individuals, groups, faith communities and businesses, wrapping up, so to speak, in mid-December.
October  A Moment In Time Our big gala, raising money to help sustain St. Vincent de Paul programs and services to low-income and homeless members of our community.
November 26, 2020 Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Morning A proud partnership with FOOD for Lane County, and a Thanksgiving tradition for Willamette Valley walkers, runners and pets.
November-December Turkey Drive Bring on the frozen hams, turkeys and nonperishable holiday foods for distribution to households in need. Purchase a turkey decal or round up your purchase when you shop at St. Vinnie's.
