A 10th refurbished home will open its doors to a veteran family following the grand opening of the Ruskin House on April 3 in the Bethel neighborhood. The 4 p.m. hour on a Wednesday proved a satisfying way for public officials, business people, and the public to celebrate the middle of the work week and another feat of affordable housing for the Veterans Housing Project.

Eugene-based St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County has wisdom to share with Harvard, MIT students.

St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County is recognized across the country for employing social enterprises like mattress recycling to create revenue streams for social services. Now Harvard and MIT have taken note! Or at least they will in early March when Terry McDonald is guest speaker on their respective campuses.
