Providing affordable housing is of the critical ways St. Vincent de Paul accomplishes its mission in the community. In August, we’ll highlight the more than 1,400 affordable housing units that make up St. Vincent de Paul’s portfolio.

To fully convey the importance of affordable housing; however, we turn back to 2015 and this interview with Anne M. Williams by the National Low-Income Housing Coalition. Anne was St. Vincent de Paul’s first Director of Housing, and served as Director of Housing Programs when she died in late February 2020. Throughout her 30-year career at St. Vinnie’s, she fought tirelessly to provide housing for those in poverty and those experiencing mental illness and/or addiction – especially veterans.
