The Garfield Trailer Park and Apartments consists of 19 single wide trailers and 9 stick-built rentals. These units are affordable for persons at or below 50 percent of area median income. When this development was acquired, it was a high risk environment with high risk activities taking place. SVDP purchased the park, worked with tenants to change behavior, connected them with appropriate services, and rehabbed the stick-built units. Police calls regarding the park have reduced drastically since SVDP has become the new owner, making it a safer place to live.
