Atkinson Food Room
No child should go to bed hungry. St. Vincent de Paul’s Atkinson Food Room is there to help. Those in need of food select their own items, choosing what best suits the needs of their family. This approach decreases wasted food and is more like shopping in a supermarket, helping people maintain their dignity.
In 2012, we gave away more than 13,100 food boxes and 2,300 holiday food boxes to people and families in need.
