Rotarians Back To Pack Backpacks For Back-to-School

Members of the Eugene SouthTowne Rotary Club filled student backpacks with notebooks and other school supplies in preparation for the Aug. 31 distribution at St. Vincent de Paul’s Lindholm Center at 456 Highway 99 North in Eugene.

Heritage Oak Is Backdrop For Alona Opening

Against the backdrop of the heritage oak that inspired its name, Alona Place was officially opened Aug. 24, bringing to Junction City it's first new affordable housing in decades. The much-anticipated 40-unit complex was fully leased, save for a couple of units set aside for grand opening tours.
